Rhonda Toms-Morgan from Connect Ag would love to invite all farmers and people passionate about agriculture to come along to see the first Queensland Grains Research and Development Corporation chickpea trial in Pittsworth on Wednesday and Thursday 29, 30 March.
For a $100 coverage fee, paying for all travel fees, meals and accommodation, you can jump on the two days and one night bus trip with the passionate agricultural community.
The bus departs Roma on Wednesday, picking people up along the Warrego Highway in the Maranoa and Western Downs.
Then traveling through Toowoomba, the group will visit AgTech and Logistics Hub, Wellcamp Agrocorp, Toowoomba Engineering and topping the day off with a Mouse Proof Brewery Tour.
Early Thursday morning, the tour will go to Summer Chickpeas in Pittsworth, Brassicas Winter Forage Options and Farming Systems for lunch and lastly Mort and Co Grassdale feedlot and nature pelleting facility before heading home at 4pm.
This tour is supported by the SQNNSW Innovation Hub which receives funding from the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund, and the Southern Queensland Landscapes, NSW Local Land Services and the Farm Business Resilience project which is jointly funded by the Australian Government’s Future Drought Fund and the Queensland Government and Maranoa Regional Council through the Queensland Government’s Tackling Regional Adversity through Connected Communities program.
