Ice cream recalled after metal found

The Woolworths homebrand Cookies and Cream Classic Ice Cream Sandwiches have been recalled.

The supermarket giant issued the recall on Wednesday, 24 May.

These products are sold in Woolworths supermarkets and metros in Queensland, Victoria, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.

Woolworths is recalling these products due to the products having been identified as containing metal that may cause injury if consumed.

Consumers should immediately cease using the product and return it to their nearest Woolworths Supermarket or Metro store for a full refund.

Customers should note that this recall applies to the above product sold in Woolworths Supermarkets or Metro stores with the best before date: 2.11.2024.

No other products are affected by this recall.

Woolworths takes product safety seriously and apologises for any inconvenience caused by this recall. Customers can call the toll-free customer service number for more information on 1800 103 515.
