Power outage today will effect 850 customers across Maranoa today

Approximately 850 customers across Roma and Injune will loose power today as feild crews repair a damaged power pole.

An Ergon Energy representative said that the power pole was damaged from recent storm activity.

Feild crews are hoping to get the power pole fixed and power reinstated by early afternoon.

However, it may be longer depending on the extent of damage to the power pole once crews begin work on the damage.

At this stage the power pole has a broken crossarm, the horizontal beam attached to the pole that is used to support and seperate powerlines.

“Our apologises for the outage, but this work is unavoidable” Ergon Energy said in a social media post.
